About USA Health

Pathway to Employment

Beginning July 10, you will receive, at your Providence email address and via a text message, a link to the electronic onboarding portal, where you will be welcomed to USA Health and complete onboarding tasks such as acknowledging policies, reading about USA Health benefits, and scheduling an in-person appointment to sign up for your benefits.

Now is the time to start gathering any documents you may need for dependents, such as dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and in some cases, marriage or birth certificates.

As a part of electronic onboarding, you also will complete the federally required I-9 form. Learn more about the I-9. At your scheduled benefits appointment, you will present the documents that establish both identity and employment authorization. You may bring any of the following documents used to verify employment eligibility. Note: These must be original documents, not copies or expired documents.

In addition to receiving onboarding tasks that must be completed in the USA Health applicant tracking system, iCIMS, a link will be emailed to your Providence email from HireRight Background Check on July 10, 2023. This will provide USA Health with permission to run a basic background check for our required compliance, and timely completion is imperative. The background check will include:

  • A criminal felony and misdemeanor conviction check, other than traffic violations, including the United States and foreign countries (if applicable)
  • Social Security number trace
  • Education verification of your highest level of education
  • Healthcare sanctions
  • Sex offender registry

Please note that there is no time limit associated with criminal felony and misdemeanor convictions. Please be truthful when answering questions within the background check invitation. In most cases, non-violent crimes for which a court-mandated sentence has been completed will not be held against you. Failure to disclose information, however, may disqualify you from employment.

Please be sure to complete the form as soon as you receive it, as the background invitation link will expire after 48 hours.
