A ribbon cutting to mark the re-opening of USA Health University Hospital’s newly renovated Azalea Café is planned for July 7 at 11 a.m. Scott Butcher, senior director of food and nutrition at University Hospital; Sam Dean, hospital administrator; and Rosemary White, M.B.A., assistant administrator for USA Health; will lead the event. Cookies and brownies will be served.

Updates to the café will include seating for as many as 130 people, an expanded menu and electronic kiosks to place orders. The new café will feature sleek, updated designs, both cosmetically and technologically, to promote faster service in a modern atmosphere.

Construction began on April 9. In the meantime, the cafe has been operating in a neighboring conference room. Renovations originally were expected to end July 22, but swift progress on construction has allowed for an earlier opening.
