Volunteers at the University of South Alabama Medical Center make a difference in people's lives everyday whether they are offering a kind word to the family of a critically ill patient, helping patients overcome their anxieties through a hospital tour, working in the gift shop, holding a book fair for the enjoyment of patients, visitors, and hospital staff, or raising money to purchase lifesaving equipment.
