About Linda Ding, M.D., F.A.C.S.

As a general surgeon, Dr. Ding treats a wide range of surgical diseases ranging from benign lipomas to gallstone disease, to primary and recurrent hernias. She uses minimally invasive techniques of laparoscopy and robotic surgery to help her patients gain functional recovery quickly. Dr. Ding has a special interest in complex abdominal wall reconstruction.

Dr. Ding believes in treating the whole patient and does so with compassion. She engages the patient and family in the decision-making process by educating them regarding their surgical conditions. She is the recipient of numerous awards for teaching excellence and is currently the Co-Director of the Surgery Clerkship at the College of Medicine. Dr. Ding is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, The Society for Critical Care Medicine, and the Association for Surgical Education.
