Community Day - Cancelled Due to Weather
The heavy rain expected this weekend is prompting us to cancel Saturday’s Cancer Survivors Community Day, which was planned to be held outside at MCI. Our main concern is the safety of all of our participants and volunteers. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing you at future events.
When:Jun 08, 201910:00 AM - 12:00 PM
A cancer survivor is anyone living with a history of cancer starting at the moment of diagnosis. Each June, we set aside time to celebrate with them, their families and caregivers, recognizing that cancer survivorship is a journey made easier through the support of others.
Family-friendly activities include music, food, a dunking booth, photo booth, face painting and inflatables. Meet the scientists who are researching cancer at MCI.
This event will be of particular interest to OB-GYN physicians, family medicine physicians, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, nurse midwives, ultrasonographers, and other healthcare professionals associated with obstetrics and gynecology.
A Night Honoring Healers, presented by The Mapp Family Foundation, will be an inspirational evening honoring the remarkable stories of our USA Health care team members in action as they provide exceptional, compassionate care to our patients.
The USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute’s Think Pink Tea is a free celebration of breast cancer awareness — a commitment to patients, survivors, advocates, and the friends and family of those impacted by breast cancer.
Hear the latest updates on breast cancer research from MCI's Seema Singh, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Pathology at the Whiddon College of Medicine. She will talk about her research at a Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at noon at the Strada Patient Care Center Conference Room, 1601 Center Street.
