MISSION

Provide comprehensive, patient-centered cardiac care through targted screening, thorough evaluation and guideline-directed medical therapy of cardiac complications associated with the diagnosis or treatment of cancer

OBJECTIVES

Collaborate with Oncology team to identify cancer patients at risk of cardiac complications
Assess overall risk of cardiovascular disease in cancer patients
Recommend guideline-based screening for cardiac risk in cancer patients
Diagnose cardiac involvement in cancer patients with the latest up-to-date technology 
Implement a therapeutic plan to mitigate cardiac risk and cardiac damage
Organize an interdisciplinary team with a nurse, pharmacist, nutritionist, and a social worker
   Orient patients and families about diagnosis, prognosis and therapeutic plan
   Nurture a patient- and family-centered care plan based on education, trust and ownership
   Counsel patients and families about fundamental lifestyle changes to decrease cardiac risk
