Participation in Professional Associations

ParkerAward.jpgAs a department, we believe it is essential for physicians to participate in professional medical associations.  At a time with so many changes in the delivery of healthcare on a federal, state, and local level, it is critical that we add our voices in advocating for our patients so that we can influence the decisions that will affect us in the future.  Faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students who are interested in becoming involved in organized medicine will receive support and encouragement in pursuing leadership positions.

We have been proud to have our residents as part of the American Psychiatric Association 100% Club since 2009.  We are currently one of only nine Platinum Level programs in the country!
