A few minutes of prevention is worth a lifetime of cure.
Hope is made of MCI’s Community Outreach Initiatives.
There’s no better cure for cancer than to prevent it in the first place. Or, at least, to detect it in its early stages. Because early detection is key to the fight against cancer, USA Mitchell Cancer Institute (MCI) is dedicated to promoting community awareness of cancer prevention through early detection and education.
Our Community Outreach staff works to empower patients and their families to be able to make informed decisions, and focuses on promoting community awareness and education about cancer by engaging in a number of tailored outreach efforts. These efforts include monthly support groups for patients and families, prevention oriented educational programs for healthcare providers, and outreach to the community at large through participation in a variety of wellness events.
