The SouthMed Prep Scholars Program (SMPS) is designed to enhance medical school access and success through two eight-week summer sessions that focus on research, MCAT preparation, the interview process, and continuous relationship building between prospective medical students and the USA College of Medicine. The SouthMed Prep Scholars Program is in the pilot phase with the following partnering institutions: Dillard University, Morehouse College, Spelman College, Tuskegee University and Xavier University. These partnerships are designed to enrich the diversity of the physician workforce.

Nkemdi Makes USA COM History!
We congratulate Nkemdi Agwaramgbo from Xavier University on making USA COM History! Nkemdi is the first student to complete Phase I and Phase II of the SouthMed Prep Scholars Program. Way to go, Nkemdi! Nkemdi did great on his MCAT and is on his way to medical school.
