The University of South Alabama Stroke Center offers a 1 (or 2) year fellowship in vascular neurology. The fellowship program emphasizes clinical training and clinical research in the areas of acute stroke treatment, stroke prevention, and neurosonology. Fellows maintain an independent outpatient clinic and are actively involved in neurology resident teaching. The program is tailored to the interests of the fellow. Opportunities exist for additional training in the headache diagnosis, management, and clinical research. Completion of a neurology residency at an accredited US program is required. Salary is commensurate with PGY level.
