Bassam A. Bassam, M.D.  
   

Dr. Bassam was born in Lebanon, graduated from Aleppo University, College of Medicine in 1973, and completed two years of internship and internal medicine residency in Lebanon. He then completed a neurology residency at Wayne State University, Detroit , Michigan 1977- 1980, and fellowship in Neuromuscular diseases and Electromyography at Wayne State University, and Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota 1980 -1981. He is a former faculty member at University of Michigan 1982-1985, and joined the University of South Alabama 1985.

   
Dr. Bassam is Professor of Neurology, board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), and subspecialty certification in Neuromuscular Diseases and Electromyography by the American Board of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). His academic focus and research interests is peripheral nerve and muscle diseases. Dr. Bassam had a lengthy national professional contributions and presentations, examiner, a member or chairperson of various professional national committees. His clinical responsibilities include; neuromuscular diseases clinic, director of the Electromyography Lab, patient's care, clinical research and teaching.
 
J. Ivan Lopez, M.D.  
   

A native of Mexico City, Dr. Lopez received his medical degree from La Salle University in 1983. He completed residency training in adult and child neurology at the University of South Alabama in 1997.

After a several-year stint in private practice, Dr. Lopez returned to USA as Associate Professor of Neurology and Director of Residency Training in 2003. His clinical areas of interest include stroke, headache, and epilepsy.
