Melissa Grannum has recently been promoted to assistant director of respiratory therapy at the University of South Alabama (USA) Medical Center.
“Melissa is well known in our department for her hard work and dedication to the profession. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge that will make her an invaluable addition to the management team,“ said Director of Respiratory Therapy Mike Stempien.
Grannum has been with USA Medical Center since 1995, the last 12 years as a respiratory therapy supervisor. She graduated from USA with a B.S. in cardiopulmonary sciences. A registered respiratory therapist, she has additional Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Basic Life Support certifications.
The USA Medical Center offers the highest level of care to the central Gulf Coast with unique services including Mobile’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and Regional Burn Center plus Centers of Excellence in stroke care, cardiovascular diseases, and a wide range of acute care services.
