Tiffany Griffin, MSN, RN, CCRN, has recently been named stroke certification coordinator for the University of South Alabama Medical Center.
Griffin will coordinate the stroke patient care activities for USA Medical Center and ensure that it retains its recent Certification for Primary Stroke Centers from the Joint Commission. This certification signifies an organization's dedication to fostering better outcomes for stroke patients.
Prior to this position, Griffin served as a patient care coordinator at a Mississippi hospital for the clinical areas of surgical intensive care, neuro-pediatric intensive care, medical intensive care, and the progressive care. However, she began her nursing career at USA Medical Center in the STICU.
Griffin received her masters of science in nursing from William Carey University, and currently holds the following certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATCN, TNCC, ASLS (Advance Stroke Life Support). Her clinical background includes experience in open heart recovery, level I trauma intensive care and pediatric intensive care.
