MOBILE, Ala. -- USA Health is pleased to announce that Warren Greene has been named assistant administrator of support services for the 3,800-employee health system. In his new role, Greene will oversee 23 departments at USA Medical Center and USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital. Since 2013, he has served as assistant to the administrator at USA Medical Center.
Greene will direct the management of departments including patient transportation, environmental services, communications, grounds, food and nutrition services, volunteer services, hospital auxiliary groups, gift shops and security. For more than 17 years, he has worked in a variety of leadership positions at USA Medical Center, the region’s only Level 1 trauma center.
"I look forward to bringing synergy to our system as we continue the integration of USA Health,” Greene said. “I want to help build on the successes our management teams have developed as we seek best practices to strengthen both hospitals and ultimately improve patient care.”
A resident of Mobile, Greene earned a degree from the University of South Alabama. He is a past president of the USA Alumni Association and a lifetime member of the group. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served for six years.
Greene is active in the community, participating in a variety of citizen action groups that seek to blend the grass roots efforts of area residents with support from elected leaders and municipalities.
He and his wife, Vernetta, have four children and two grandchildren.
