MOBILE, Ala. -- Kim Weeks has joined the staff of the University of South Alabama Medical Center as a Patient Relations Coordinator.
Patient Relations staff members often serve as a liaison between patients and other hospital employees to resolve communication issues. They also review and handle patient satisfaction surveys.
Weeks says her goal is for every patient to leave USA Medical Center extremely satisfied with the care he or she received. “I am thrilled to join the USA Medical Center team, particularly because improving the patient experience is something I am deeply passionate about,” she said. “My father was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2008 and seeing the excellent care that was provided to him inspired me to pursue a career in the health care industry.”
Before moving to the Alabama Gulf Coast, Weeks was a Partner Relations Coordinator with the Pensacola-based healthcare consulting firm, the Studer Group. During her tenure with Studer, she worked with a variety of healthcare organizations such as large hospital systems, academic medical centers, community hospitals and medical practice clinics delivering data analytics and other resources to help organizations achieve quality, patient-centered care.
Weeks, who is from Pace, Fla., received a bachelor’s degree in communications from The University of West Florida in Pensacola. She lives in Daphne.
