USA Medical Center Administrator Beth Anderson

USA Medical Center Administrator Beth Anderson has established a scholarship fund to help employees of the USA Health System pursue a graduate education at the University of South Alabama.

“It was important to me to invest in what makes us so strong and that is the dedicated and talented individuals who make up our Health System,” said Anderson. “Healthcare is a field that is continually evolving and advancing one's education is important not only to a career but pays dividends back to our community and our own University.”

The first scholarship will be awarded for academic year 2016-2017 to a student who must be employed and maintain employment through the Health System. Recipients of the scholarship must be pursuing a graduate degree with preference given to the following degree programs: Masters of Business Administration, Masters of Public Administration, or a graduate degree from the College of Nursing or the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions.

Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and maintain satisfactory academic progress. Preference will be given to students requesting financial assistance.

Further details on the scholarship application process will be announced in early spring of 2016.
