Beth Leffard, the new Assistant Director of Quality Management at USA Medical Center, stands in front of the mural in the hospital's lobby.
Beth Leffard, MSN, RN, has been named assistant director of Quality Management for the University of South Alabama Medical Center.
Leffard will oversee performance improvement as well as quality and safety measures for the Medical Center, ensuring that it meets or exceeds all accreditation and regulatory standards.
For the past four years, Leffard has been clinical program coordinator for chronic disease management at a multi-state home health company. Her role there included coordination of Alzheimer’s disease programs and behavioral health. Earlier, she worked 23 years at another local hospital, working in surgical intensive care, outpatient heart failure management and quality management. In addition, Leffard has served as an adjunct clinical instructor at Bishop State Community College, teaching in the areas of medical-surgical, telemetry and critical care.
Leffard received both her bachelor of science in nursing and master of science in nursing degrees from the University of South Alabama.
