Jan. 6, 2015 - Stallings Promoted to Assistant Director of Laboratory Operations

Weatherby_Stallings_USA_Medical_Center.jpgWeatherby Stallings has been promoted to Assistant Director of Laboratory Operations at the University of South Alabama Medical Center Clinical Laboratories.

"Her promotion is a tremendous asset to the health system. She is a great steward of our mission, vision, and values," said Rick Cooke, director of USAMC and Mitchell Cancer Institute Clinical Laboratories.

Prior to her new position, Stallings served as medical technologist supervisor for the MCI clinical labs and CAP accreditation coordinator for the Medical Center Clinical Lab.

“I am honored to have been chosen for this position,” said Stallings. “I look forward to learning more about the business side of laboratory operations, as well as working more closely with our great lab team and other departments in our health system.”

Stallings returned the Medical Center in 2007 after a 10-year stint at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Earlier in her career, she worked at USAMC from 1989 to 1995.

Stallings received her B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of South Alabama and is currently enrolled in the Master of Public Administration program.
