Joshua Hester has taken on a new position as administrative projects coordinator and manager at the University of South Alabama Medical Center.
In his new role, Hester will work on projects across the entire USA Health System, which includes USA Mitchell Cancer Institute, USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital, USA Health Services Foundation and the USA Medical Center. He will work closely with the administrative teams, department heads, and physicians on projects related to governance, operations, ambulatory care, and education.
“In the short time Josh has been with the Medical Center, he has embraced new roles and challenges with enthusiasm," said USA Medical Center Administrator Beth Anderson. "He has proven to be a very dedicated and talented staff member who will be a great asset in his new role."
Hester will continue as the department head for safety and security at USA Medical Center where he plans to continue to expand the hospital’s patient-centered approach into the department’s safety practices. His other responsibilities include serving on the hospital's Performance Improvement Committee.
A 2011 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management, Hester also serves as a member of UAB’s School of Health Professions Junior Advisory Board. He received his Masters in Health Administration from the Pennsylvania State University in 2013.
