Annita Dailey has been appointed as the new nurse manager of the 5th floor and Dialysis Services at University of South Alabama Medical Center (USAMC).
“Annita has demonstrated a commitment to excellence, a great depth of knowledge related to quality and data, and the ability to team build and empower others,” says Lisa Mestas, assistant administrator at USAMC. “This, in addition to her charismatic style and passion, will provide for a smooth transition.”
Dailey has been with USA Medical Center for 10 years and served as assistant director of quality care management until her recent appointment. She was initially hired as the Joint Commission Accreditation coordinator/core measure coordinator, a position she held for four years.
With a background in critical care, medical-surgical, and psychiatric services, Dailey has served as a nurse manager, director of infection control and employee health and has overseen six medical clinics. Of her 30 years in nursing, 23 of them have been in management.
Dailey received her bachelor’s degree from Mobile College and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2008 with a focus in nursing administration and education. She also received her legal consultant certificate from the University of South Alabama in 2012.
