MOBILE, Alabama (4/30/2018) -- Brittney Carden, PharmD, has joined the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute as the manager of the new MCI Pharmacy.
In her new role, she will manage the specialty pharmacy and dispense oral oncolytics as well as supportive medications. Carden will also provide patient counseling for oral chemotherapy and oversee both oral and IV pharmacy programs.
Most recently, she served as the pharmacy manager for Southern Cancer Center in Daphne.
“We feel very fortunate to have Britney lead our new specialty pharmacy,” said Theresa McLaughlin, administrator of Clinical Services at MCI. “She has both the experience and passion to care for our oncology patients.”
Carden attended the University of North Alabama in Florence before receiving a bachelor's degree in biological sciences and chemistry from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University.
She is married to Andrew Carden, director of Baseball Operations at the University of South Alabama. They live in Spanish Fort with their two children, Anniston and Archer.
