Held yearly during GYN Oncology Awareness Month, this 5K and 1-mile fun run starts on the Mitchell Center Lawn on the main USA campus. Registration is at 6:30 a.m. with 5K at 8 a.m. and fun run at 9 a.m. The event is presented by the Catranis Family Charitable Foundation, with proceeds going to GYN cancer research. Freshwater and saltwater anglers compete in this one-of-a-kind tournament held at the Bluegill Restaurant on the Mobile Causeway from 1-5 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Gaillard Pancreatic Cancer Research Endowment at MCI.
