Bariatrics is the branch of medicine devoted to treating and preventing obesity. At USA Health, we specialize in surgical treatments for obesity that include laparoscopic gastric bypass and laparoscopic gastric sleeve procedures.

Bariatric surgery, also known as weight-loss surgery, includes a variety of procedures to help patients lose weight and improve their overall health.

Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass

Laparoscopic gastric bypass is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that reduces the size of a patient’s stomach with a bypass of the lower part of the stomach.

Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy

Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy is a surgical procedure in which the majority of the stomach is removed, and a smaller stomach is created with the remaining tube or “sleeve.”
