The Southeastern Orthopaedic Foot Club Meeting is held annually in conjunction with the Alabama Orthopaedic Society Meeting. This year it is being held at the Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa in Birmingham, Alabama, on Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Registration and continental breakfast are from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
The purpose of this conference is to update orthopaedists and other healthcare professionals with new knowledge specifically involving topics regarding the foot and ankle.
At the conclusion of this conference, the participants should be able to:
♦ Utilize procedural and ambulatory care for the disorders of the foot and ankle.
♦ Recognize and incorporate therapeutic options for clinical problems of the foot and ankle.
♦ Apply these new diagnostic and treatment modalities and technical knowledge in the treatment of children and adults with foot and ankle abnormalities, as well as the highly trained athlete.
This conference is sponsored by the University of South Alabama, College of Medicine, Office of Continuing Medical Education and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The University of South Alabama designates this live activity for a maximum of 5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Tom Lee.
Dr. Lee graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He remained at Columbia for his Orthopedic Surgery training. He was Fellowship trained at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
He is currently the President Elect of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. Active in Total Ankle Replacements and Sports Medicine, he is a design surgeon for Wright Medical and Stryker Corporation.
Currently in private practice in Columbus, Ohio, he travels frequently to Asia for Hospital Development.
