The USA Department of Pediatrics is seeking a BC/BE candidate to join 2 board-certified pediatric gastroenterologists, a nurse practitioner, a research coordinator, and several support staff. The position will involve patient care for referrals from the central Gulf Coast, clinical instruction to medical students, pediatric residents, and medicine-pediatric residents, and the opportunity to participate in clinical research projects. Faculty members in the Department of Pediatrics have active staff privileges at the USA Children's and Women's Hospital that is currently undergoing a major expansion to include a new state-of-the-art endoscopy suite. The current endoscopy suite has capabilities for all video endoscopic procedures, esophageal and ano-rectal manometry, liver biopsies, pH and impedance monitoring, and breath hydrogen and urea breath testing. There is also a dedicated unit that is available for administration of Remicade infusions.
