The Endothelial Cell Journal Club represents a study group of scientists dedicated to advancing our understanding of endothelial cell biology. Presentations will be informal, as round table discussions; therefore, it is expected that participants have read the paper and can contribute. Attendance is open to any and all interested participants, including faculty, staff and students at all levels. For students, this journal club is not a part of your formal curriculum requirements. Come enjoy the open forum. We have adapted a schematic shield to represent the journal club. You can see the Latin words Quaerere Verum, which mean seeking truth, in the banner. The alveolar-capillary unit(s) is imbedded in the shield as a water stamp. This alveolar-capillary unit(s) was taken from a transmission electron micrograph generated here, in the Center, by Drs. Diego Alvarez and his colleagues.
